Vietnam Veterans Association Central Committee: Training on poverty reduction in Bac Lieu

On the morning of May 13, 2025, at the Bac Lieu Provincial Cultural Center, the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA) organized a training conference on poverty reduction and vocational training for rural workers for Bac Lieu VVA.

During the 2 days, delegates were presented with 7 main topics and 1 supplementary topic. Of the 7 main topics, 4 were on poverty reduction and 3 were on vocational training for rural workers. The supplementary topic was to promote the tradition of the Vietnam Veterans Association in the new situation, actively contributing to poverty reduction and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Lieu province.

Through the dissemination of topics, the Vietnam Veterans Association aims to improve the capacity and knowledge of poverty reduction and vocational training for rural workers for the Association's officials and members to carry out poverty reduction work in the locality more effectively. One of the important tasks of the Vietnam Veterans Association is to participate in the effective implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the National Target Program on New Rural Development for the period 2021 - 2025.

The training will last until May 14, including visits to two models of war veterans helping each other reduce poverty and produce and do good business in Bac Lieu City. They are Phuc Thinh High-Tech Shrimp Farming Cooperative (Hiep Thanh Commune) with war veteran Nguyen Van Hoat as Director; Green Agriculture Cooperative (Ward 1) with war veteran Tran Van Tam as Director.
