Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Party Executive Committee - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association said that in the digital age, farmers not only need to be good at plowing and hoeing, but also need to know how to update information, use smartphones, apply technology to production, and even know how to livestream to sell agricultural products.

Therefore, lifelong learning - learning to be a human, learning to have a career, learning to develop - has become an inevitable need, a requirement of the times for civilized farmers.
That spirit needs to be promoted in building new rural areas, developing ecological agriculture , and forming a civilized farmer class - as affirmed in Resolution 19-NQ/TW of the 13th Party Central Committee.

To accompany farmers across the province, over the years, the Farmers' Association has always identified the work of promoting learning, promoting talents, and building a learning society as one of the key tasks, both having long-term strategy and profound humanistic significance.
In addition to promoting propaganda work, encouraging members and farmers to register to build models of "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Community", etc., the association also encourages people to actively learn throughout their lives anytime, anywhere, in many different forms, means and contents such as vocational training, learning farming and animal husbandry techniques, and learning to use digital technology in production, business and consumption of agricultural products.

Thereby, it has contributed to training and building 329,990 rural workers recognized with the title of "Learning Citizen", reaching 27.6% of the total number of rural workers.
The Farmers' Association also cooperated with the Association for Promotion of Education to mobilize members and farmers to contribute to the fund for promoting education and talents, to contribute bricks to build schools, to build vegetable gardens in kindergartens and primary schools; and to support hundreds of students in difficult circumstances to continue going to school.
