Hoan Kiem District rewards 14 groups and individuals with "Old age

The report at the conference showed that the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" of Hoan Kiem district has had many positive changes. Notably, it has mobilized the strength, intelligence and experience of a large number of elderly people to participate in building a strong political system, social work, carrying out the task of economic development, ensuring security and order, and improving the lives of people in the area.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hoan commended and acknowledged the achievements of cadres and members of the Elderly Association at all levels of Hoan Kiem District.

Emphasizing that the Vietnamese elderly are always an important force contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, a reliable support for Party committees and authorities at all levels, comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan hopes that the District Elderly Association at all levels will continue to pay attention to implementing the direction of the City Party Committee and People's Committee, promoting the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example".

Along with that, continue to coordinate with functional sectors to do a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members such as social protection, health insurance, longevity wishes - longevity celebrations, health care for members; organize cultural and sports activities to create a healthy and useful playground for elderly members so that they can live happily, healthily and happily, thereby contributing to promoting the role of the elderly in the new period.

At the Conference, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Elderly Association awarded the Medal for the cause of protecting, caring for and promoting the role of the elderly to individuals with many contributions. The District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 groups and 7 individuals; the District Elderly Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements.

On this occasion, the Hoan Kiem District Elderly Association also launched the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" for the period 2025-2030.
