Quang Tri simultaneously launched a campaign to prevent smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

(Chinhphu.vn) - Currently, functional forces in Quang Tri are simultaneously launching propaganda and inspections at key areas and border lines, including the Lao Bao international border gate area.

In Lao Bao, on May 29, the Inter-sectoral Working Group including Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Market Management Team No. 2 and Lao Bao Town Police organized direct propaganda to business households about the harmful effects of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin and related legal sanctions. At the same time, organized actual inspections at stalls in the area.

Through inspection, all business households in the area strictly complied with the provisions of the law, no violations of goods of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods were detected. Notably, the households proactively coordinated, signed commitments to conduct business in accordance with regulations, sell goods with invoices, clear origin, full labels and publicly listed prices.

The authorities emphasized that they will regularly maintain combined propaganda and inspection activities to raise legal awareness among small traders, while creating a transparent and healthy business environment right from the border front.

At the same time, in Cua Tung town, Cua Tung Border Guard Station coordinated with Market Management Team No. 3 and local police to organize propaganda and inspect business establishments, especially items at risk of being counterfeited such as cosmetics, functional foods, household appliances, imported goods, etc.

Not only disseminating legal regulations, the authorities also listen to the thoughts, aspirations and difficulties of traders, thereby supporting and guiding them to adjust their business activities in a legal and sustainable direction.

According to a representative of Cua Tung Border Guard Station, this activity not only contributes to preventing law violations from the root, but also helps ensure a safe business environment for people and tourists in the coastal area, which is a key tourist destination of Quang Tri.

The synchronous implementation of propaganda, inspection and mobilization measures for commitments from business households in both land and sea border areas has demonstrated the strong determination of Quang Tri province in early prevention, strict control and strict handling of smuggling, counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin from the front line.
