Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 56/2024 regulating the conditions and minimum area for land division and land consolidation for each type of land in the province. This Decision takes effect from October 1.
According to the decision, for urban land, the area of the divided land plot must ensure that the remaining land plot and the land plots formed after the division have an area of 40 square meters and a minimum side size of 3 meters. In particular, in Hai Thanh ward of Nghi Son town, the minimum area after division is 30 square meters, with a side size of 3 meters.
For rural land, the area of the divided land plot must ensure that the remaining land plot and the land plots formed after the division have an area of 50m2 and a minimum side size of 4m. For agricultural land, the area of the subdivided plot must ensure that the remaining plot and the plots formed after the subdivided plot have a minimum area. Specifically, the minimum area of annual crop land, perennial crop land, aquaculture land, and salt production land is 500m2. The minimum area of protective forest land and production forest land is 3,000m2.

Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province also issued Decision No. 31/2024 stipulating the conditions and minimum area for land division and land consolidation for each type of land in the province. This Decision takes effect from August 15.
According to the new regulations, after being divided, urban residential land must have a minimum area of 40m2, with a minimum width (frontage) and length (depth) of 3m. Rural residential land after being divided must have a minimum area of 50m2, with a minimum width (frontage) and length (depth) of 4m.
For non-agricultural land, the minimum area for subdivision of non-agricultural land that is not residential land (not part of investment projects assigned or leased by the State) is 100m2, with width (frontage) and length from 05m or more.
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also stipulates the minimum area and size after the division of agricultural land such as: Land for growing annual crops, salt-making land is 500m2, with width and length from 5m or more; Land for growing perennial crops, aquaculture land is 1,000m2, with width and length from 10m or more;
Production forest land is 5,000m2, with width and length from 50m or more. For other agricultural land, the land user whose land origin is not from an investment project is allocated or leased by the State is 500m2, with width and length from 5m or more...
