Planning and building 9 eco-tourism and resort destinations in Sa Pa

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has issued a Decision approving the Project on Ecotourism , Resorts and Entertainment of Sa Pa Town Protective Forest Management Board, period 2022 - 2030.

The project is being implemented on an area of ​​nearly 16,000 hectares, managed by the Sa Pa Town Protective Forest Management Board, with the goal of attracting at least 5 investors to lease the forest environment.

Accordingly, 9 points are planned as ecological and resort areas to attract investment and develop tourism, including: Thong Hill, Ly Hill, De Stream, Ho Stream, Silver Waterfall, Chay Hill, Ham Rong Mountain, Muong Hoa, Ngu Chi Son.

The project aims to welcome an average of 50,000 to 100,000 visitors per year, with the rate of visitors staying overnight accounting for more than 28%, revenue from tourism activities expected to reach 780 billion VND, creating regular jobs for about 800 workers.

Sa Pa is always an attractive destination for tourists.

Tourist attractions meet safety standards, comply with regulations on environmental protection and nature conservation. The tourism environment, security and safety at tourist attractions are controlled.

Main types of development include: Ecotourism, resort - health care, adventure sports tourism, community tourism associated with local cultural identity.

Regarding the market, the project maintains traditional international visitors from Western Europe and Australia, while expanding to Northeast Asia, ASEAN, North America and key domestic provinces such as Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

The total investment capital for the project is 1,990 billion VND, of which the 2022 - 2027 period is nearly 1,011 billion VND, the 2028 - 2030 period is more than 979 billion VND.
