Donate to support small businesses affected by the fire in Poland

Responding to the call of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, women from 14 member countries of the forum organized a fundraiser to support small traders who were severely affected by the fire at the 44 Marywilska Trade Center in Warsaw, Poland, causing heavy property damage.

According to a VNA correspondent in Europe, on the afternoon of June 16 in Warsaw, Ms. Trinh Thi Mui, Vice President of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe and President of the Vietnamese Women's Union in Germany, represented the delegation in presenting 7,500 euros to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, President of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, and several members of the Vietnamese Association in Poland.

Attending the presentation ceremony on behalf of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe were Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Nga, Vice President of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, also Vice President of the Vietnamese Women's Association in the Czech Republic, and many female members of the Forum's Executive Board.

On the Polish side, there was also Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang, Counselor, Deputy Ambassador of Vietnam to Poland.

In addition, the award ceremony was also attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam, Director of the Department of Information and Culture of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Pham Thi Kim Hoa, and President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe Hoang Dinh Thang.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Vice President of the Forum Trinh Thi Mui said that on the morning of May 12, when the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe was in Madrid (Spain) to attend the Global Women's Summit, they heard about the fire that caused great material damage and seriously affected the lives of the Vietnamese community in Poland. The Forum called on Vietnamese women across Europe to donate and join hands to support their compatriots in Poland.

With the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, with the spirit of compatriots always willing to help each other overcome difficulties, the members of the 14 member countries of the Forum in Europe actively responded to the call to share with the victims and hoped that they would soon overcome the difficulties to stabilize their lives and rebuild their businesses.

On behalf of the community, receiving the support money from members of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, President of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, was very touched by the hearts of Vietnamese women across Europe for our compatriots affected by the fire at the 44 Marywilska Shopping Center in Warsaw, Poland.

Mr. Tuan also pledged that the Association will transfer the sentiments and all donations from the Forum to the families in need of support./.
