Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh and provincial departments and branches attended the conference at the Ben Tre province bridge.

To achieve the goal of having over 3,000km nationwide by 2025, the Ministry of Construction , localities and Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) are currently implementing 28 projects/component projects with a planned completion date of 2025 with a total length of about 1,188km.

Up to now, the progress of most projects has been on schedule, many projects have exceeded the plan. However, some projects are still behind schedule, some problems and issues have not been thoroughly resolved, so the Prime Minister has established 7 inspection teams, led by Deputy Prime Ministers, to directly inspect, direct and remove difficulties. During the period from March 6 to 14, 2025, the inspection teams directly inspected the site, organized work with localities, investors and contractors.

The inspection teams assessed that the competent authorities had made efforts in implementing the projects, and that the localities had mobilized the entire political system to participate in the work of site clearance (GPMB) and handling procedures for granting construction material mines. After the inspection teams gave instructions, the projects had many positive changes, and some localities had basically completed the handover of GPMB and completed the procedures for granting construction material mines.

At the meeting, ministries, branches and localities reported to the Prime Minister the results and progress of the plan to complete 3,000km of expressway by the end of 2025; the main shortcomings and limitations related to site clearance, construction material sources, capital allocation, etc.; and proposed a number of solutions to remove bottlenecks and strive to complete the set plan goals.

In his directive speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the goal of completing 3,000km by 2025 remains unchanged, requiring agencies and units to identify this as an important and top political task to focus on directing and operating to ensure completion on schedule.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the efforts of ministries, branches and localities in overcoming difficulties and obstacles, aiming to complete over 3,000km of expressway by 2025.

The Prime Minister requested that during the implementation process, national and ethnic interests must be put first; and negative practices, corruption and waste must be fought. Localities, especially those with large volumes of land acquisition and clearance, need to mobilize the entire political system to participate in land acquisition and clearance; during the process of organizing land acquisition and clearance, special attention must be paid to people's lives and livelihoods, and appropriate policies must be developed to remove difficulties for people.

Relevant provinces and cities speed up licensing procedures, increase the capacity of stone and soil mines; speed up the implementation of the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway to ensure synchronous exploitation of 20km of Ben Luc - Long Thanh project on April 30, 2025. Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong (Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project), Dong Thap (An Huu - Cao Lanh), Tuyen Quang (Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang) review, re-establish progress, take initiative in material sources, have appropriate and effective technical solutions, do not delay the project completion progress...
