On the morning of July 1, the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Arts, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a launching ceremony for the Journal of Interdisciplinary Science and Arts. The establishment and publication of the journal aims to achieve the goal of developing scientific research, transferring knowledge and technology, contributing to improving the quality of training, and developing scientific, economic , cultural and artistic resources.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue, Deputy Head of the Press and Publication Department, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, shared that the Journal of Interdisciplinary Science and Arts was born in a special context, when the whole country is making efforts to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. The Journal will open up a new academic discussion space for researchers and students with an interdisciplinary approach.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Principal of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the birth of the journal is a necessary addition, meeting the need to create multi-dimensional academic discussion spaces domestically and internationally, capable of sharing multi-disciplinary issues, experience in handling the relationship between theory and practice, between science and art, between specialized and interdisciplinary approaches; especially, in the development of the fields of creative cultural industries and arts.
Thereby, contributing to affirming the position of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts as a training and scientific research unit specializing in the fields of interdisciplinary sciences, cultural industries, creativity and arts in Hanoi National University as well as in the system of educational institutions on creativity and arts in Vietnam.

"From the beginning, the Journal of Interdisciplinary Science and Arts was identified as a journal oriented towards a global vision and international academic debates. This is not only reflected in the language format (in English and Vietnamese) and an editorial board with prestigious experts and scientists from many different fields of the creative cultural industries, but also found in the submission and review process system, the regulations on ethics and academic integrity built according to international standards," said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu.

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Science and Arts is published every 3 months in Vietnamese and English with two types of publications: print and online. The content structure, publishing regulations, and peer review regime of the journal are built according to international standards, aiming to be indexed in the system of prestigious international journals in the Web of Sciences and Scopus categories.
In addition to mentioning pioneering and theoretical research, the journal also values experimental works related to the cultural and artistic life of Vietnam and the region.
In addition, the magazine is also a specialized forum for discussing practical application issues related to state management and policy advice in developing creative economy, cultural and artistic industry education, posing rich relationships between creativity and practice, between practice and development, between production and consumption, etc.
"The magazine is the result of the efforts and endeavors of the teachers, together with the participation of the entire school over a long period of time with the desire to create a new intellectual space that is open-minded, connected and socially responsible," Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi, Vice Principal of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and Editor-in-Chief of the Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts Magazine, added.
