Comic book about BTS group launched

Portland, Oregon-based publisher TidalWave Comics has added a 22-page comic to its Fame series, which sheds light on BTS' musical activities.

BTS started their music career in 2013.

Since their debut in 2013, BTS has become a global phenomenon with their vibrant hits and social campaigns aimed at empowering young people.

BTS's glamorous history is chronicled in the comic book, chronicling the seven singers' rise to fame and transition from pop star to soldier.

All able-bodied men in South Korea between the ages of 18 and 28 are required to serve in the military for 18 to 21 months to defend the country.

BTS comic book will be released on January 10, 2024

Some people have been granted exemptions or served shorter terms, including Olympic medalists and award-winning classical musicians. Some lawmakers have called for BTS members to be exempted.

In December 2022, Jin - the oldest member of BTS - joined the army and the others followed. The four who started their military service in December 2023 are RM, V, along with Jimin and Jung Kook. Previously, three other members of the K-pop group - Jin, j-hope and Suga - also joined the army. Fans pledged to wait until 2025 when the group performs again.

The BTS comic book will be released in paperback, hardcover, and digital formats on January 10, 2024.
