On May 18, Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, acting Director of the Departmentof Education and Training of Bac Lieu province, said that the department has just requested provincial departments and branches to review the need to transfer schools of children of officials and civil servants to new workplaces after the province's merger.

According to the project to rearrange provincial administrative units, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces will merge into Ca Mau province, with the political and administrative center located in Ca Mau city, more than 60km from Bac Lieu provincial capital.

With this merger, hundreds of officials and civil servants from provincial agencies of Bac Lieu will move to Ca Mau to work.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province, the review and registration of school transfer needs aims to create favorable conditions for students (children of officials and civil servants working at provincial departments, branches and sectors) to study at their parents' new workplace.

Provincial departments, branches and sectors compile the list and send it to the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province before May 23.

According to the 2024-2025 school year plan of Bac Lieu province, semester II will end before May 25; the school year will end before May 31.
