On the afternoon of January 8, Mr. NTA (born in 1991, delivery staff, residing in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) was riding a motorbike on Huynh Thuc Khang Street, District 1. When he reached Nguyen Hue walking street, Mr. A. turned right when the traffic light was red and was stopped by the traffic police team, fined 5 million VND for not obeying the traffic light.

Mr. A. said he was in a hurry to deliver the goods, so he did not pay attention to the traffic light. "I know I was wrong, but at that time I was only thinking about the urgent delivery, I did not pay attention to the traffic light. The fine of 5 million VND is very large because it is equivalent to a month's salary of mine," Mr. A. shared.

In addition to being fined 5 million VND, Mr. A. also had 4 points deducted from his driver's license.

On the same day, on Pham Ngu Lao Street, the task force also fined driver LHT (born in 1984, from Binh Thuan ) for stopping the vehicle in violation of regulations. This driver was stopping to load goods but was fined 700,000 VND by the traffic police for stopping the vehicle in an area with a no-parking sign.

Lieutenant Colonel Luu Minh Si, Captain of the Traffic Police - Order Team, District 1 Police, said that in the city center, especially the roads around Ben Thanh Market, Nguyen Hue Walking Street and areas with many tourists , vehicles often stop and park illegally. This causes traffic congestion, affecting the movement of other vehicles.
