On May 1, U Minh Ha National Park coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province to organize the event "U Minh Forest Fragrance" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification and International Labor Day. The event attracted more than 650 people, athletes, and tourists to participate in sports activities and experience local culture.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, waved the flag to start the cross-country race.

The activities take place in the typical primeval cajuput forest space such as trekking through the forest, cross-country running, sampan racing, monkey bridge challenge and reenactment of pond fishing techniques - a familiar image of residents of the U Minh flooded area.

U Minh Ha National Park is the core area of Mui Ca Mau World Biosphere Reserve, covering an area of over 8,500 hectares, including over 1,700 hectares of the only remaining primary cajuput forest in the province. The ecosystem here is very diverse with species such as monkeys, otters, deer, wild boars, eels, snakes, turtles, etc.

Ms. Ta Thao Ngan (tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared that walking in the forest and watching traditional activities made the trip memorable. Meanwhile, Ms. Phan Nguyen Thanh Thao (Ca Mau City) was moved when she experienced the feeling of crossing the monkey bridge and racing on a sampan, which brought back many childhood memories.
