In theeducational journey, visits to historical sites or access to famous publications and works always bring special experiences, leaving a deep impression on students.

Recently, a group of literature-loving students from grade 7, Chu Van An Secondary School (Tay Ho, Hanoi ) had a meaningful trip to Hoa Lo Prison Relic - a place known as "hell on earth" but also an indomitable symbol of the Vietnamese national spirit. In their hands, they also had a special edition of Nhan Dan Cuoi Tuan to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday with rich content and beautiful design.

Right from the moment they set foot in the gate of Hoa Lo Prison Relic, students could feel the sacred and solemn atmosphere of the space that had marked many losses and sacrifices during the long resistance wars of the country. In an effort to bring history closer to the public, especially the younger generation, Hoa Lo Prison Relic focuses on preserving artifacts and space, while applying modern technology to innovate the way of conveying information. The form of automatic commentary - a smart solution is being effectively implemented and receiving many positive feedbacks from visitors.

Tourist groups offer incense and commemorate heroes and martyrs in the relic space.

With just a headset and a compact device, visitors can actively explore each room and each exhibition area in the relic without worrying about missing important information. The automatic commentary system is carefully programmed with many languages, with an emotional and coherent voice, helping listeners easily visualize the fierce historical scene, the touching stories about the courage and indomitable spirit of revolutionary soldiers.

No longer completely dependent on the tour guide, this format expands the listener's autonomy in the experience: they can stop longer at special points, rewind the information they want to listen to carefully, or choose the content line that suits their age and needs. Especially for students, this is an ideal tool to help arouse their interest in learning history through vivid experiences.

Students attentively learn about history.

The automatic narration is also a bridge to help the painful but heroic memories be preserved and retold in a vivid, continuous and convincing way. In the silent space of Hoa Lo, the narration voice resounds like an echo of the past, penetrating every cold corner of the wall, touching every vibration of the listener's heart, so that every step passing by is a time to pause, reflect and be grateful.

The students were speechless when they passed through the "solitary confinement room" - where light could barely penetrate, or when they saw the "guillotine" - a remnant of the extremely brutal war period. Real stories, real people and real artifacts made history no longer a dry page, but a living stream that awakens emotions and gratitude in every heart.

Students listen attentively to the automatic narration and take notes.

From their love for literature, the bridge of history has helped students gain strong inspiration for writing and emotional poems. Some students also wrote travel diaries, drew pictures of Hoa Lo or composed short poems to share their feelings after the trip. Through that, they both received historical stories and lived with history with the rich emotions and imagination of school age.

We always want students to feel the depth of culture and history through reality. These are always ideal educational spaces to foster patriotism, gratitude and the will to rise up for the young generation and impact each page of their writing, expressing responsibility and emotions in a sincere and profound way.

These are always ideal educational spaces to foster patriotism, gratitude and the will to rise up for the young generation and impact each page of their writing, expressing responsibility and emotions in a sincere and profound way."

The tour also received the support of parents and the school's Board of Directors to combine learning tasks with experiences to help students develop comprehensively in both knowledge and personality.

Under the cool shade of the banyan tree today are many touching stories about the heroic sacrifice of the previous generation.

Nguyen Mai Linh, class 7A11, emotionally said: "I used to think that prison was just a place of detention, but when I came to Hoa Lo, I truly understood deeply about the strong will and noble soul. I was especially impressed when I learned that revolutionary soldiers still composed poems, passing them to each other through the cracks in the door to maintain their spirit. When listening to the teacher read articles about Uncle Ho under the ancient banyan tree, I felt like I was sitting in a living history class, where each story and each song was a lesson about courage and patriotism."

A meaningful highlight of the school's literature-loving students' tour was the moment they were able to access and listen to excerpts from the special edition of Nhan Dan Weekend Newspaper released on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

For Trinh Nguyen Bao Duy, class 7A1, the trip with teachers, friends and especially his grandmother opened up a very special world of emotions. "When I entered the solitary confinement room, I was really scared. From then on, I felt extremely grateful to those who had sacrificed so that we could have the life we have today. After the trip, I wanted to record my feelings, both to remember and to show my respect to the national heroes."

Special publication of Nhan Dan Newspaper accompanies students to read at the relic space.

The meaningful highlight of the school’s literature-loving students’ tour was the moment when they were able to access and listen to excerpts from the special edition of Nhan Dan Weekend Newspaper released on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday. This is a dedicated journalistic product, harmoniously combining profound content value with a modern, beautiful presentation.

The publication makes a strong impression through its rich content, vividly recreating the image and thoughts of Uncle Ho with valuable stories, articles, and documentary images. In particular, the integration of smart QR codes on newspaper pages has expanded the reader experience: by simply scanning the code with their phones, students can easily access more articles, images, videos, and even Uncle Ho's simple yet profound teachings - timeless humanistic messages.

Students read newspapers and discuss historical stories.

In the quiet and memorable space of Hoa Lo Prison Relic, the image of teachers and students gathering under the shade of an old banyan tree that had gone through a fierce time brought a special, calm and emotional moment. The banyan tree with rough trunks and gnarled roots, through the long time, witnessed so much pain and hope infiltrating the dark prison... now extends its shade for today's generation to turn each page of the newspaper, absorbed in reading articles about beloved Uncle Ho.

Uncle Ho's words seemed to echo in the yard full of memories, making the atmosphere quiet. The students listened to the teacher's words, their eyes following each word, taking notes in their notebooks. Some students held their phones, scanning the QR code printed on the newspaper page to open the music podcast. The music played - familiar melodies praising Uncle Ho's achievements - making the moment even more profound.

A student's parent is introducing the publication of Nhan Dan Newspaper to foreign tourists.

Under the shade of the banyan tree, history becomes a vivid story, told with the heart, with the emotional eyes of today's youth. They visit, read newspapers, and listen to history whisper, letting memories penetrate deeply into their consciousness, to understand and appreciate the sacred values of the nation. In that emotional moment, under the shade of the historical tree, perhaps, the seeds of patriotism have quietly sprouted in the hearts of each student, just like the banyan tree that once stretched out in the midst of storms to stay green forever with time.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong, a parent accompanying her child on the special journey, expressed: "When I saw my child and his friends attentively listening to the explanation, sitting under the banyan tree reading the newspaper and sharing their thoughts and feelings, I was really moved. I realized that there are lessons that cannot be fully conveyed through books, but must be felt with the heart. For me, the trip is also a moment to connect generations to look back at history together, to better understand the losses and glories that our ancestors went through in exchange for today's independence."

Historical stories come alive like never before.

In the quiet space of Hoa Lo Prison Relic, Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong Thien, a parent of a student, shared her emotions after joining the tour with her child. For her, this was both an experiential activity and a valuable opportunity for adults to relive national memories through the delicate lens of revolutionary journalism.

"Besides the relic space, what impressed and touched me the most was the special publication of Nhan Dan Newspaper. This is truly a profound spiritual gift on the journey. The publication has profound content, neat images, a very modern design, and is easy to access," said Ms. Thien.

According to her, integrating modern technology into journalism products helps students access easily, evokes emotions, and makes learning history more natural, closer, and more attractive than ever.

"I really thank the school, teachers and journalists for creating such a complete educational journey. From the combination, the children not only learned valuable lessons from Uncle Ho, but also had the opportunity to understand more about the role of revolutionary journalism in preserving and spreading traditional values. A trip, but left behind is a whole life's luggage," she commented.

Teacher and parent read the same newspaper page - a memorable moment of the journey.

In the context of modern society, education on patriotic traditions and the beauty of literature has been constantly updated and nurtured by schools so that students can "touch" emotions and absorb them through each practical experience.

From the timid steps when entering the "hell on earth" of the past to the quiet but thoughtful eyes when leaving that place, the students have matured in their awareness, and quietly sowed within themselves the seeds of patriotism, which will one day bloom into flowers of responsibility and national pride.
