Bright sky of Vinh Phuc during hot air balloon festival

On the morning of April 30, the sky of Vinh Yen city lit up with dozens of colorful hot air balloons flying up from Ho Chi Minh Square. On the ground, many people and tourists flocked to admire and cheer, creating a bustling and exciting festival atmosphere on the day the whole country solemnly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South - National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

According to the reporter, from early morning, many families were present at Ho Chi Minh Square to choose a good location and prepare their cameras and phones to be ready to "hunt" for memorable moments. The giant balloons with bright and beautiful colors flew up in the blue sky, creating a unique and majestic scene on the day of national reunification.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a tourist from Lap Thach district, said: “I always thought that hot air balloon festivals were only held abroad. Who would have thought that today, I would witness this unique festival right in my homeland. I am very proud and honored that the festival is held in Vinh Phuc !”

Knowing that the festival was held right on the occasion of the April 30-May 1 holiday, my wife and I brought our children and grandchildren here to see the hot air balloons flying in the sky. The children were engrossed in watching for a long time without taking their eyes off. I also had the opportunity to experience flying on a hot air balloon, it was truly memorable."

In addition to the hot air balloon performance - the main activity of the event, Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 also brings a rich and attractive cultural and tourism space. Along the routes around Ho Chi Minh Square area are 70 booths displaying culinary and fashion products, and experiencing virtual reality games.

Among the booths at the event, there are 20 booths displaying OCOP products, handicrafts and typical agricultural products, traditional cuisine of Vinh Phuc. Visitors can visit and experience the products of craft villages; traditional dishes of the people in the province and local agricultural products...

The festival atmosphere will be further enlivened by art performances and Carnaval performances taking place throughout the festival. In addition, there will be many other exciting, fun and entertaining activities taking place at the event.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Dung, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "During this holiday, my family returned to our hometown to visit our parents and relatives in Vinh Phuc. I was very surprised to hear that Vinh Phuc was organizing a Hot Air Balloon Festival. Therefore, I took the opportunity to take my wife and children to Ho Chi Minh Square to attend this unique event."

The Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 not only serves the entertainment needs of people during the holidays but is also an opportunity to promote the image of a friendly and developed Vinh Phuc - a place with beautiful natural landscapes, gentle people and many unique products. The event also contributes to affirming the position of Vinh Phuc on the tourism map of the Northern region.

As planned, the opening ceremony of the Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 with the theme “Vinh Phuc flies up with the country” will be held at 7:00 p.m. tonight (April 30). The festival will take place for 5 days, from April 30 to May 4 at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh Yen city.
