





Mu Cang Chai terraced fields are terraced fields located on the mountain slopes, one layer overlapping the other with an area of about 2,200 hectares in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province, Vietnam. In 2019, Mu Cang Chai terraced fields were ranked as a special national monument by the Prime Minister.
Mu Cang Chai is most beautiful in two seasons of the year, when the rice fields are flooded (around May and June every year, when people build dams, build banks, and lead water into the fields to prepare for plowing, sowing and transplanting rice) and when the rice is ripe (around September and October every year). .
The photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam”, organized by the Department of External Information, Ministry of Information and Communications on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn , is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over.
