This is also a publication in the Vietnamese Cultural Bookcase project of Chibooks.
Writer Phi Tan was born and raised in Hue , so “Hue - old stories of the old city” is a return to the old years of Hue citadel in the writer's memory: childhood games, old scenes and stories, cultural activities, familiar objects, village names, land names, simple, rustic dishes... Each essay is a unique discovery of flowers, simple fruits, and people of the Ngu mountain and Huong river.
The book collects special paintings by artist Phan Vu Tuan when drawing Hue Citadel from many different angles. The change of observation angle, time, four seasons or more subtly, the emotions on the page have produced excellent works, full of nostalgia and traces of old memories.

Writer Phi Tan wrote "By the O Lau River", "Returning to Hue for dinner" and "Hue - old stories of the old city" with memories gathered from the nostalgia and love of the simple, innocent, and peaceful old days.
As for young artist Phan Vu Tuan, “I can’t count how many paintings I’ve painted of Hue, but over time, the depictions may change. However, the spirit of the ancient capital in my eyes remains the same…still the silent moss, full of nostalgia and the quiet, peaceful spaces.”
