Saigon Co.op releases Tet music video 'Inside the hug'

An exclusive song of Saigon Co.op written by musician Nguyen Van Chung, “Inside the Hug” was warmly received when it was first released on Vietnamese Family Day, June 28.

Re-arranged with a bustling melody welcoming the spring, the song is elaborately staged by director Thai Huan, with the participation of the extended family of 3 generations of circus artists Quoc Co - MC Hong Phuong and the sweet voice of singer Thanh Ngoc, the new version of "Inside the hug" and many remixes on social networking platforms (Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok...) will bring relaxing moments in the musical space to millions of Vietnamese families.

The MV “Inside the Hug” is set in a busy young couple who have difficulty arranging time to visit their grandparents during Tet. After moments of confusion and guilt for the couple, the MV reaches its climax when the grandparents ask each other “let’s bring Tet closer to the kids”, the grandparents decide to go to the city to celebrate Tet with their children and grandchildren.

The message seems simple and plain but touches the hearts of people living far away from home who always long to reunite with their families during Tet. Simple happiness is “when our family is together”.

In the final frames, the MV reveals warm images of three generations preparing for Tet together. The whole family goes shopping for Tet at Co.opmart supermarket, wraps banh chung and gathers together to cook and enjoy delicious food in a warm and happy atmosphere.
