The music video "Hẹn hò Phú Thọ" (Dating in Phú Thọ) is a project that singer Phương Thảo has been working on for many months, as a tribute to her homeland, where she was born and raised. The work is meticulously crafted, from the lyrics and melody to the visuals, reflecting the artist's soul and the pride of a daughter of the Hùng Vương dynasty.

The song was composed by Phuong Thao during a special time, when the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh merged, opening up new development opportunities for the northern midland region. With such emotions, it would normally be appropriate to create a grand melody, but Phuong Thao chose the profound essence of Ca Tru (traditional Vietnamese folk singing) to portray Phu Tho as both rustic and peaceful, yet also modern and youthful.

Phuong Thao shared: “I wrote 'Dating in Phu Tho' during a time when my hometown was undergoing many changes. In the quiet space, I suddenly heard the sound of festival drums, the Xoan singing, and gazed at the tea hills covered in early morning mist. That feeling made me want to preserve it through music – so that everyone who listens can feel the pride, love, and gratitude for their homeland.”

The music video "Dating in Phu Tho" was conceived, written, and directed by Phuong Thao herself. The MV takes viewers to many famous locations showcasing the rich cultural identity of Phu Tho, such as Hung Lo Temple, Long Coc tea hill, Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Power Plant, Tay Thien - Tam Dao,... Particularly noteworthy is the image of Hung Temple – where the sacred spirit of the mountains and rivers converges and spreads, becoming a spiritual anchor for the nation entering a new era.

Notably, the music video features a special appearance by actor Phuong Nam and his wife, who previously made an impression with his role as Squad Leader Ta in the film "Red Rain." This time, he and his wife, Hai Yen, a former student of the Television Directing Department at the Hanoi University of Theatre and Film, portray a simple and heartfelt love story.

The entire production process was completed within a single week in October, a time when heavy rains were prolonged in the North. The film crew had to travel to many locations from Viet Tri to Hoa Binh and Vinh Phuc under harsh weather conditions. "Finally, we completed it, fulfilling a wish we had for our homeland after the merger," Phuong Thao said emotionally.

Singer Phuong Thao, whose real name is Tran Thi Thuy, was born in Thanh Thuy, Phu Tho. From a young age, she loved singing and actively participated in school arts activities. After graduating from high school, Phuong Thao studied at Hanoi University of Culture, where she worked as an MC, director, screenwriter, and tried her hand at songwriting.

Despite her busy business schedule, her passion for art remains strong. She still dedicates time to writing, singing, and working on projects about her homeland: "Warmth of the Central Highlands," "Hát Môn: Echoes of a Thousand Generations," "Hoàng Xá: Eternal Heroic Spirits," "Remembering Thiệu Tiến," and "Thanh Thủy: A Glorious Legacy."
