The second round of the competency assessment exam will be organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in coordination with other units on the morning of June 1 in 11 provinces/cities, including Hue, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tien Giang and An Giang .
If you do not bring identification, you will not be allowed to take the exam.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City National University), said that 97,121 candidates have completed registration procedures for the second round of competency assessment exams.
Thus, the total number of candidates registering for the second round of the competency assessment exam this year has more than doubled compared to the same round of the exam in 2024 (last year, 42,294 candidates took the exam).
According to regulations, when taking the exam, candidates need to bring all required documents as stated in the exam notice, including: valid identification documents and exam notice.
Candidates must present the identification documents they used to register for the exam (original, valid): ID card/citizen ID card/passport.
If the candidate cannot present the identification documents used to register for the exam, the candidate must present a passport (original, still valid) with personal information and identification number matching the information registered for the exam. If the candidate does not bring the required identification documents, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the exam.
"In case you do not bring your exam admission notice, you must be present at the examination council room at least 30 minutes before the candidate gathering time to complete the necessary procedures.
If there are any errors in name, date of birth, or ID number, candidates must be present at the examination board room at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for inspection and processing.
"Follow the instructions of the examination board and the instructions of the invigilators. Candidates who arrive at the examination room door 15 minutes after the test timer is signaled will not be allowed to take the exam (arriving after 8:45 am)," Mr. Chinh noted.
Regulations to be followed when entering the capacity assessment exam room
In the examination room, you must comply with the regulations: sit in the correct position with your registration number, present your exam admission notice and valid identification documents as requested by the invigilator.
Before taking the test, you must correctly and completely write your registration number, test code and personal information on the test paper, multiple choice answer sheet, scratch paper, etc.
When receiving the test paper, you must carefully check the number of pages and the quality of the printed pages. You must check the test paper to ensure that it contains the correct number of questions as stated in the paper and that all pages of the test paper have the same test code.
If you discover any errors in the exam paper, inconsistent exam codes between pages, missing pages, torn, damaged, blurred, or other errors, you must immediately report them to the invigilator in the exam room, no later than 15 minutes after distributing the exam paper.
Only use exam scratch paper provided by the exam supervisor; do not write or draw on the exam admission notice or any items or documents not provided by the exam supervisor.
Candidates are not allowed to submit their exam papers before the end of the exam time and are not allowed to leave the exam room during the exam time.
When the test time is over, you must stop working immediately. You must submit the multiple choice answer sheet, test paper (enough pages) and scratch paper (enough number of pages provided) to the staff and sign the list of candidates.
Candidates who are unable to complete the test must submit all answer sheets, test papers, and scratch paper and sign the exam registration list. They may only leave the exam room after the invigilator has checked all answer sheets, test papers, and scratch paper in the room and given permission to leave.
The results of the second round of exams will be announced on June 16.
The results of the second round of the competency assessment exam are expected to be announced on June 16. If candidates take both rounds, the higher result will be used for admission consideration.
Previously, the first round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam in 2025 had 128,338 candidates registered from 2,063 high schools in 63 provinces/cities nationwide (an increase of 34.3% compared to the number of candidates registered in the first round of 2024, which was 95,548 candidates). There were 126,297 candidates who attended the exam (the exam/registration ratio was 98.4%).
In this exam, the average score of candidates was 618.4 points, 142 candidates scored over 1,000 points. The candidate with the highest score was 1,060 points and the lowest was 40 points.
Currently, there are 111 universities and colleges registered to use the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam for admission. Admission will be carried out according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training .
