Practical initiatives

At Tai Phat Joint Stock Company, Phu Bai Industrial Park, the initiative "Improving the carton blank making machine" by union member Nguyen Minh Duc has helped the company shorten production time from 2.5 hours to 1.25 hours. Not only doubling output, this initiative also helps employees reduce working time and increase income. The value of benefits for the company is estimated at about 300 million VND per year. In recognition of this contribution, Tai Phat Joint Stock Company has given a bonus and decided to increase Duc's salary ahead of schedule.

Also with the spirit of constant creativity, Ms. Vo Thi Cam, a member of the Scavi Hue Company's union, had the initiative to "Improve the process of sewing hooks and attaching labels to bra products". Standardizing the label placement and optimizing the label taking and attaching operations has helped shorten the product completion time, while standardizing the production process. For many years, Ms. Cam has always been a typical face, achieving over 100% labor efficiency and has been commended by the Hue City Labor Federation in the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers".

Not only Ms. Cam, many other union members at Scavi Hue Company also have practical initiatives, which are promptly recognized and rewarded by the union and the company on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. This is a timely encouragement, motivating employees to constantly strive for innovation and creativity.

Mr. Truong Tat Anh Vu, security officer, Vice President of the Labor Union of Laguna Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hue, was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the City Labor Federation twice for his useful initiatives. The most recent initiative was the "Security Patrol" initiative. With this initiative, Mr. Vu helped the company apply chip-attached positioning devices in patrol work, saving about 100 million VND/year by reducing personnel costs.

Not stopping there, Mr. Vu also spread the spirit of creativity to his colleagues in the company. Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Na, a union member of Laguna Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared: “Following Mr. Vu’s example, I also researched and innovated, and the initiative “Composting organic fertilizer from wood chips and other organic waste” was born, helping the company produce about 35 tons of organic fertilizer each year, saving nearly 60 million VND,” Ms. Na said excitedly.

In Phong Dien town, many union members have also contributed to the great benefits of enterprises thanks to practical and effective initiatives. Typically, two initiatives: "Utilizing refractory bricks from old glass furnaces" and "Using industrial chemicals Na2SiF6 to replace Arsenic Oxide" by engineer Nguyen Dinh Tien, Glass Vico Trading and Investment Company Limited (Phong Hoa ward) have helped enterprises save hundreds of millions of VND each year.

According to statistics, in 2024, the whole city had 2,964 initiatives, works, and technical solutions recognized, bringing economic value of tens of billions of VND. This figure shows that the movement to compete in initiatives and technical improvements has brought real value, contributing to promoting business development.

Create a creative environment

Identifying the movement "Good workers, creative workers" as an important impetus to promote development, the City Economic and Industrial Zone Trade Union always proactively coordinates with enterprises to launch and sign emulation agreements close to the reality of each unit.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Nam, Chairwoman of the City Economic and Industrial Zone Trade Union, said: The Trade Union focuses on promoting emulation to promote initiatives, improve techniques, practice thrift, fight waste, accompany businesses to overcome difficulties, improve labor productivity and ensure income for workers.

The Union also constantly promotes propaganda, mobilization, inspection and evaluation to improve the quality of initiatives and promptly commend and reward individuals and groups with outstanding achievements.

Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet, Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation affirmed: the movement "Good workers, creative workers" has always been a continuous emulation activity in all levels of trade unions. Through each stage, the movement has been concretized into practical contents to arouse the creative potential of workers, meeting the requirements of innovation in production and business.
