ANTD.VN - The deadline for submitting the Request for extension of tax and land rent payment for 2023 according to Decree No. 12/2023/ND-CP is September 30, 2023, which is exactly half a month away.

Previously, the Government issued Decree No. 12/2023/ND-CP dated April 14, 2023 on extending the deadline for payment of value-added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax and land rent in 2023, in order to create conditions for taxpayers to promptly resolve difficulties and have opportunities to restore production and development.

In order to reform administrative procedures and facilitate people and businesses to easily complete extension procedures, Decree No. 12/2023/ND-CP stipulates that taxpayers subject to extension must submit a one-time extension request for all periods of the extended taxes at the same time as submitting tax declarations. The deadline for submitting the extension request is September 30, 2023.

Thus, there is only half a month left until the deadline for submitting the Application for extension of tax and land rent payment in 2023 according to Decree No. 12/2023/ND-CP. Taxpayers nationwide should take note to promptly carry out the necessary procedures to enjoy their rights.

The deadline for submitting the Application for extension of tax and land rent payment for 2023 is September 30.

To apply the policy, businesses can use only one declaration to request an extension for many types of taxes, applicable to many different periods. If businesses operate in many different locations, the Tax Department is responsible for exchanging management information between units in the locations to update extension information, taxpayers do not have to send it to many different tax authorities. These are significant improvements in tax administrative procedures when implementing Decree No. 12/2023/ND-CP.

At the same time, October 20, 2023 will be the final deadline for paying VAT for the March 2023 declaration period and October 31, 2023 will be the final deadline for paying VAT for the first quarter of 2023 declaration period.

Therefore, the tax authority reminds taxpayers to grasp the extended payment deadline to pay taxes on time and not incur late payment fees as prescribed. In case the last day of the extended tax payment deadline coincides with a holiday as prescribed, the last day of the deadline shall be considered the next working day of that holiday.

Currently, the tax authority's application allows taxpayers to submit a Request for extension of tax and land rent payment. Therefore, taxpayers can access the website http://thuedientu.gdt.gov.vn and follow the instructions to submit the Request for extension.
