Pointing to the apricot garden that is being flowered and carefully cared for, Mr. Le Huu Thien - Director of Binh Loi Yellow Apricot Cooperative, said he had just "closed" a 700 million VND order with a customer in the northern provinces.

According to Mr. Thien, recently, the demand of people in the Northern provinces, especially Hanoi, for playing yellow apricot during Tet is quite high. After many years of selling, Binh Loi yellow apricot has affirmed its brand in the market, especially in terms of flower quality and care experience of gardeners, so it is ordered by many customers in the North.

Due to differences in climate and shipping time, customers from the northern provinces order apricot flowers earlier. Gardeners in Binh Loi apricot village like Mr. Thien also have their own care techniques to make the yellow apricot flowers suitable for the cold air of the northern provinces.

Mr. Thien said that this year, the garden has prepared thousands of large and small apricot trees, and quality bonsai apricot trees for people and traders nationwide to choose from. Small trees cost between 200,000 and 300,000 VND/tree, large trees and some potted apricot trees cost 500,000 and 700,000 VND.

In recent days, Mr. Thien has been actively taking care of the trees, pruning branches, and bud-inducing the apricot blossoms, preparing to deliver them to customers. After the 700 million VND order, he recently "closed" an order for 100 million VND of yellow apricot blossoms.

Increase quality apricot blossoms, beautiful flowers for Tet season

Mr. Bui Ngoc Duc - owner of Huu Duc apricot garden, owns more than 20,000 apricot trees with a growing area of up to 4 hectares. These days, Mr. Duc is also busy with the Binh Loi super-flowered apricot pots. This is a special apricot variety crossbred by local farmers, making an impression from last year's Tet to this year's Tet season.

“Last year, Binh Loi super cotton products were highly sought after by customers. This year, many customers continue to choose to buy this type of apricot to display on Tet holiday,” said Mr. Duc, adding that customers have now started to come to order yellow apricot flowers.

“Compared to last year, this year’s super-flowered apricot trees will be of better quality. Gardeners are focusing on taking care of them to prepare to bring to the market about 1,000 pots of Binh Loi super-flowered trees and add bonsai varieties for customers to choose from,” Mr. Duc shared with Dan Viet.

Currently, Binh Loi yellow apricot village supplies a variety of products from ground apricot, potted apricot, bonsai apricot, grafted apricot... to meet people's Tet needs. With bonsai apricot, grafted apricot, the selling price is much higher than ground apricot, thanks to that, farmers have more income. This is also a way to increase the value and brand of Binh Loi yellow apricot.

According to many farmers, in general, this year, the price of yellow apricot flowers in the garden is cheaper than last year due to abundant supply, especially the southwestern provinces are also increasing the area of apricot planting. This is a favorable condition for customers to buy yellow apricot flowers to celebrate Tet.

In about half a month, around the full moon of December, gardeners will simultaneously plant apricot leaves. This is also the busiest time in Binh Loi yellow apricot village. According to gardeners, following the trend of the past few years, this is the time when customers from the provinces come to order and ship the most goods.
