That is LPBank's commitment to information about officers violating regulations when arbitrarily opening lienviet24h accounts for customers. Specifically, according to information reported by people, in 3 days (from July 9 to 11), at the headquarters of Xuan Giao commune (Bao Thang district, Lao Cai province), TPBank and LPBank employees appeared and asked people to provide phone numbers, citizen identification cards, take photos of their faces and hand over their mobile phones to support "completing the creation of personal identification codes". The bank employees did this after the police officers completed the procedures for personal identification at level 2 VNeID. After that, some people discovered a text message in the phone trash saying that the establishment of a bank account had been completed and requested clarification of the matter.
After receiving the information, LPBank's leaders immediately requested LPBank Lao Cai Branch to report the incident. According to the report, on July 8, LPBank's Bao Thang Transaction Office sent a document to the People's Committee of Xuan Giao Commune and the Xuan Giao Commune Police asking for coordination in opening free bank accounts for people who completed level 2 electronic identification. This coordination process was carried out at the commune's cultural and sports center and was announced to the people.
Confirming the incident, the Director of LPBank Lao Cai Branch said that opening an e-wallet (lienviet24h application) is completely free and is carried out in accordance with the bank's regulations. However, during the implementation process, due to the large number of people gathered, some staff did not provide clear advice and instructions. Some people did not fully understand the application installation and were concerned about information security, so they were upset and requested to delete the opened account.
Realizing that accounts were opened without specific instructions and agreement with customers, LPBank leaders immediately requested Bao Thang Transaction Office to coordinate with the local authorities of Xuan Giao commune, proactively organize dialogues, provide satisfactory explanations and commit to people to close all accounts opened on the system if the implementation process is not in accordance with the bank's regulations.
