Through the inspection, the police discovered more than a ton of cattle and buffalo organs in many bags that were leaking and giving off a foul smell. Dirty food and counterfeit goods are rampant, not only threatening the health and lives of consumers but also distorting the business environment. When mentioning many serious cases, it is impossible not to mention cases related to fake milk, fake medicine, and fake functional foods that have just been discovered by the authorities. This was also mentioned by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh when chairing a meeting with ministries, branches, and localities on the morning of May 14, to assess the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the first months of 2025 and the directions and tasks for the coming time. The Prime Minister also pointed out many serious cases that have just been discovered such as: fake milk in Hanoi, fake medicine in Thanh Hoa, fake food in Phu Tho, fake functional food in Hanoi, fake goods in Ho Chi Minh City, fake goods being sold widely on social networks and the situation of manipulation, hoarding, price gouging... This has a great impact on people's health and psychology, affects security and order, budget loss, and negatively impacts many other aspects of social life. This is a big, serious problem with the laxity of some agencies and some related localities. Currently, along the border lines, border gates, and sea areas, illegal transportation of prohibited goods such as drugs, firecrackers, foreign cigarettes, smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods, such as gasoline, oil, gold, alcohol, beer, sugar, cosmetics, functional foods, clothing, food, frozen goods, household goods, etc. has emerged. Inland, violations of the law on production and trade of counterfeit goods, goods that infringe intellectual property rights, goods that violate product labels, trading in expired goods, goods of unknown origin, trading in smuggled goods, goods without invoices or documents, etc. continue to occur in most provinces and cities.

The above situation has also occurred in Binh Thuan province with violations in business activities focusing on items such as cigarettes, food, fashion, phone accessories, gasoline, etc. In e-commerce activities, the main acts are trading in smuggled goods, trading in goods of unknown origin, trading in smuggled cigarettes, not registering the distribution system with the competent State management agency as prescribed, not fully disclosing information about the website owner on the e-commerce website, not notifying the e-commerce website to the competent State management agency as prescribed before selling to consumers. Faced with the above situation, Binh Thuan province has directed the authorities to strengthen the fight, inspection and control of the situation of trading in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, goods infringing on intellectual property rights, goods violating origin and e-commerce fraud. Focus on important items such as food, sugar, gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, fertilizers, agricultural supplies, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, functional foods, traditional medicine, new tobacco products, cigars, etc. At the same time, strengthen the inspection and control of goods at commercial centers, traditional markets, busy streets, and production facilities. Focus on checking price posting, selling goods at listed prices, preventing speculation, hoarding, and unreasonable price increases, especially for essential goods serving people's lives. Strengthen coordination with forces in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in e-commerce. In particular, do a good job of local management, grasp the developments of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods by area to promptly detect and identify outstanding issues, emerging areas and items of violation to fight and prevent. Promote the application of information technology in professional activities to build a shared database, serving the work of market management in general, the work of fighting against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in particular.
