The opening episode of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2025 featured an aerial photography challenge, where 15 contestants posed in giant dresses at a height of more than 5m at the Creative Park (HCMC).
However, instead of making a strong impression, the official photo series received a series of criticisms for poor image quality and post-processing.

Viewers quickly noticed the obvious difference between the broadcast photos and the shared behind-the-scenes photos. A typical example is contestant Hang Ngo's performance - while the behind-the-scenes photos showed off her figure and expression, the official photos lacked composition and had dark lighting.

Not only the broadcast photos, the series of photos shown in the judges' evaluation room also caused controversy. Many photos still revealed safety wires, the lighting was not up to standard, the colors were not edited, causing the online community to leave many disappointed comments: "The costumes and concepts are very beautiful, but the post-production is too sloppy"; "The program seems to have gone backwards compared to previous seasons. Why is the backstage more beautiful than the official one?"; "The costumes and setting were invested in very well, but the post-production is too disappointing".

Supermodel Thanh Hang - the main judge of this year's season, also explained on her personal page: "The filming schedules are so close together that the finished photos need a little more time to complete. Please understand."
Despite the apology and adjustments, many viewers are still not satisfied. They believe that with a long-standing brand like Vietnam's Next Top Model, neatness and professionalism right from the opening episode are a must.
