McLaren is preparing for the upcoming Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix with a one-off 750S Spider dubbed Project Viva. The city's landmarks, lights and energy are reflected in its monochrome paintwork and exquisite craftsmanship. Las Vegas is known as the "city of lights", and in recent years it has become the venue for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, one of the most exciting night races in Formula 1.
Ahead of this year’s event, McLaren has decided to unveil a one-off 750S Spider, showcasing the full creative capabilities of its MSO personalization division. It’s a rather unusual approach to honoring Las Vegas, especially when the city is defined by neon lights and color. Project Viva features a special paint scheme provided by MSO, called Muriwai White – this can be seen on the shutters and doors. There’s also Vegas Nights, a new MSO paint scheme developed specifically for the project, which is a jet black finish with splashes of cyan, magenta and green. But that’s not all, as both McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have applied some of their own hand-crafted design touches. A keen eye might also notice the addition of McLaren’s tenth World Manufacturers’ Championship in the form of a star on the rear bumper.
“Project Viva embodies the essence of McLaren Special Operations – going beyond the conventional to create something truly personal,” said Jonathan Simms, director of MSO. “It’s where craftsmanship meets individuality, and where every inspiration can become a story told through design,” says Jonathan Simms. “Every commission we create is a combination of vision and skill, resulting in a car that truly expresses the inspiration behind it.” “Whether it comes from a brand story or a client’s own passion, MSO exists to turn ideas into something unique and meaningful,” adds Jonathan Simms. This bespoke 750S Spider will be on display at the McLaren Experience Centre inside the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel from November 13-20, 2025, ahead of the Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix, before being handed over to its owner.
As most of you know, the 750S is essentially a facelifted version of the 720S, with slightly redesigned front and rear ends, along with a power boost to 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. In a straight line, one of these gorgeous supercars can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 2.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 205 mph. The 750S can also complete the quarter mile (400 meters) in 10.1 seconds, while 124 mph takes just 7.2 seconds.
