Currently, in China, there is a boom in the service of registering for vocational students without attending school and still receiving a diploma. Illegal businesses exist in the form ofeducational consulting companies.
Recently, CCTV conducted an investigative report exposing the tricks of five education consulting companies that illegally registered students and six vocational schools that provided non-attendance services.
Specifically, Zhengzhou Science and Technology Education Consulting Co., Ltd. (China) has been operating in this field for more than 10 years. The company claims to be able to help students avoid going to class, for a fee of 20,000 yuan (about 69.5 million VND). To avoid detection, the company requires customers to make transactions in cash.

Four other companies also engaged in similar illegal business, including: Shuanghang Business Service Center (Wuhan), Yitao Technology Co., Ltd. (Wuhan), Chufai Trading Co., Ltd. ( Henan ) and Xifeng Education Consulting Service Co., Ltd. (Wuhan).
The common point of all the companies is that parents are required to pay 20,000 yuan, which is called a "relationship fee". All five educational consulting institutions claim that there is no risk, and that students who pay the fee will be provided with relevant documents, and can graduate after 3 years from the date of registration.
A consultant confidently said that students can graduate without going to school. Another consultant also confirmed that all that is needed is the student's personal information and a green background ID photo to handle everything.
Wuhan Information Technology Vocational College (China) has a more advanced cheating behavior. The counselor said that students only need to register for the attendance service once per semester. To deal with the education management agency, the school prepares medical records, procedures for requesting medical leave, and reservation documents for students. This way, students do not need to come to school for the whole semester.
Cheaper than the education consulting company, Wuhan Tiangong Vocational College offers a backdoor fee of 9,900 yuan (about 34.4 million VND) for students who register for the no-show service. The school claims that no other fees will be charged because the students do not show up to school.
Meanwhile, Henan Vocational Secondary School (China) registered for a non-attendance service that costs 12,600 yuan/term (about 43.7 million VND). To convince parents, school staff committed to reducing part of the tuition fee by applying for government subsidies.
Three schools, Aviation Technology Vocational College (Tan Trinh), Automobile Vocational College (Trinh Chau) and Luc Nghiep Information Vocational College (Trinh Chau), also have a service of hiring people to take attendance by card, so students do not need to go to class.
To avoid suspicion from education authorities, these schools require students to check in at least once per semester. The schools even suggest that students fill in fake attendance times on the app.
Realizing this is illegal, educational consulting companies and vocational schools limit the number of special subjects to 3 to 5 students per class.
Currently, this reportage has received much attention from the public nationwide. Many people have expressed their frustration about the fairness in the current vocational education environment.
