Tay Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Inspecting the implementation of the Code of Conduct for Civilized Tourism

In the city, the delegation inspected My My Hotel, Nhat Hoang Kim Claypot Rice Restaurant and Song Cau Tay Ninh Wine Cellar Restaurant. Through the inspection, the delegation found that the food and beverage and accommodation establishments complied with the provisions of the law; posted prices publicly; and implemented Plan 2509 of the Provincial People's Committee on raising awareness of responsibility in building and maintaining the image of quality tourism services in the province, period 2023-2025.

However, the delegation also noted that food service establishments have not yet strictly complied with food hygiene and safety regulations, and that food processing staff do not wear masks or gloves. The delegation reminded establishments to further understand the rules of civilized tourism behavior, learn more about their responsibility to the local community; and requested establishments to continue to maintain and further improve awareness, polite attitudes in service, and civilized behavior...

After inspecting the business establishments, the delegation had a working session with the People's Committee of Tay Ninh City. According to the report of the People's Committee of the city, in recent times, the locality has carried out propaganda work on implementing office culture and civilized tourism codes of conduct on the media as well as integrating them into conference and training programs to raise awareness of civilized tourism behavior for all officials, civil servants and people in the area.

Environmental protection and ensuring a clean environment are of local concern. In the area, in the past time, no cases of waste discharge or wastewater causing environmental pollution or affecting tourist destinations have been detected. The management of service and goods prices is also regularly inspected.

In addition to the results achieved, according to the inspection team, Tay Ninh city needs to do a better job of checking and grasping the number of tourists staying. Currently, there are many travel agencies in Tay Ninh city, but most of them take tourists from Tay Ninh to other localities for sightseeing. The team suggested that the city leaders as well as communes and wards need to coordinate with travel agencies to promote activities of bringing tourists from other places to Tay Ninh, further promoting the image and people of Tay Ninh. The team also suggested that the locality build a hotline specifically for the tourism sector; mobilize businesses to socialize the construction of public toilets.

According to the plan, from August 20 to September 11, the delegation will inspect business establishments in districts and towns on the responsibilities of units and localities according to Plan 2509 of the Provincial People's Committee on raising awareness of responsibility in building and maintaining the image of quality tourism services in the province, period 2023-2025.
