On June 11, the Gia Lai Provincial Health Department Inspectorate said that it had established an inspection team to clarify the case of a 64-year-old woman who suffered serious complications after cosmetic surgery at a facility in the area.
According to the representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Health Department Inspectorate, the GN cosmetic facility (Hai Ba Trung Street, Pleiku City) performed invasive surgery, an act that was determined to be against regulations. The authorities are continuing to inspect to determine the specific violations.

Mr. HTH, the owner of GN Beauty Salon, admitted that Ms. LTH performed facelift surgery at his facility. Mr. H. also admitted that he did not comply with the regulations in the registration license, which only allows for routine skin care, not invasive surgical procedures.
According to Mr. H., because Ms. LTH had a need, the staff introduced a cosmetic specialist from Ho Chi Minh City to Gia Lai to perform the surgery. Mr. H. confirmed that he only lent the facility.
Previously, on June 2, Ms. LTH (64 years old, residing in Thang Loi ward, Pleiku city) went to GN cosmetic facility with the desire to reduce facial wrinkles, initially with a cost of 800,000 VND.
Here, the facility's staff consulted and convinced Ms. H. to undergo a facelift surgery package for 16 million VND. After Ms. H. agreed, the facility performed the surgery.
That same evening, Ms. H. was taken home by staff but was later found bleeding from the surgical wounds and had to be hospitalized for emergency care.
