Soc Trang: Highlights of the Ke Sach River and Garden Festival

NDO - On May 30 and 31, on the occasion of the Doan Ngo Festival on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, the 19th Ke Sach District River and Garden Festival in 2025 took place at My Phuoc Islet, Nhon My Commune, Ke Sach District, Soc Trang Province.

The 19th Ke Sach District River and Garden Festival in 2025 (referred to as the Festival) includes cultural, artistic, sports and folk game activities, aiming to promote and introduce the potential of garden ecotourism and the typical specialty fruits of My Phuoc Islet and Ke Sach District, Soc Trang Province.

The festival includes cultural, artistic and sports activities, including a traditional music exchange program between local clubs; and fun folk games to attract visitors to participate.

My Phuoc Islet is a famous eco- tourism destination in the Southwest region. This place is blessed with natural resources, with fresh water all year round and fertile soil, so the entire islet is covered with fruit-laden orchards. In recent years, Soc Trang province has invested in building My Phuoc Islet to be recognized as a national eco-tourism destination.

Many unique fruits are displayed to attract tourists.

Participating in the Festival, visitors can see and enjoy countless specialty fruits such as durian, rambutan, mangosteen, star apple, red-fleshed jackfruit, various plums, mango, grapefruit... and many other unique fruits, grown by local people in the district, through eye-catching displays at each booth.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ke Sach district , Soc Trang province, Cao Minh Thom, said that this year's festival took place on the weekend, so the number of visitors increased compared to the same period last year.

There were more than 5,000 visitors and locals coming to participate in the Festival. To prepare well for the festival, create a joyful and comfortable atmosphere for visitors to visit the Festival, the locality has carefully prepared cultural-artistic, physical education-sports activities and arranged booths displaying a variety of attractive fruits.

At the same time, fully deploy security and order protection plans, as well as arrange medical staff on duty to ensure safety for visitors and people participating in the Festival.
