The harvest time is concentrated from March to November.
The province is supporting and maintaining 218 growing area codes with a total area of 3,142 hectares and 8 export packaging facility codes; packaged products include longan, mango, macadamia, passion fruit. Developing 308 safe agricultural food supply chains, with a total area of over 4,500 hectares, the output supplied to the market reaches over 50,000 tons/year. The output of fruit for processing for factories and processing facilities in the province is about 100,000 tons, the rest is for domestic consumption.
Forecasting the agricultural product consumption market in 2025, China will still be the key market, with 12 official agricultural products exported and is tending to increase imports of processed fruit and vegetable products from Vietnam. In addition, global demand for agricultural, forestry and food products is forecast to increase sharply in 2025 due to political fluctuations and the impact of climate change.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong requested members of the Steering Committee and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to review the planning of fruit tree development areas; continue to increase investment in applying scientific and technological advances in production, focus on selecting varieties, improving cultivation techniques, improving productivity and product quality. Promote production development towards commodities, focusing on key products, products with competitive advantages, meeting domestic and foreign market demand. At the same time, continue to support businesses, cooperatives and especially farmers to apply digital transformation, use digital platforms in connecting agricultural product consumption. Districts, towns and cities review and select professional collection units as collection focal points, forming a product packaging network capable of carrying out large processing and export orders, meeting the requirements of processing factories and import-export units...
