The test results of the Technical Center for Standards, Measurement and Quality 3 concluded that the Nestlé MILO Barley Milk supplement food product has safety and quality indicators consistent with the product's self-declared profile.

That is the information in the report of Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health sent to Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee on the progress of inspection, verification and clarification of information about advertising of Nestlé MILO Barley Milk supplement food product of Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited.

This document was signed and issued on May 31 by Deputy Director of Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health Vo Thi Ngoc Lam.

Dong Nai Province Department of Health said that the inspection team focused on clarifying the information reflected and the direction of the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) regarding the advertisement of the product "Nestlé MILO Barley Milk Supplement" of Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited.

According to the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health, during the inspection, the inspection team took samples of the product "Nestlé MILO Barley Milk Supplement" to evaluate the safety and quality indicators of the product.

On May 28, the Technical Center for Standards, Metrology and Quality 3, under the National Standards, Metrology and Quality Committee (STAMEQ), Ministry of Science and Technology, returned test results number KT3-03213BTP5 for the sample "Nestlé MILO Barley Milk Supplement".

The test results show that Nestlé MILO Barley Milk supplement has safety and quality indicators consistent with the product self-declaration file. Product self-declaration file No. 88, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. in 2020 and detailed product information (TCCS 88:2020/NLV).

Previously, on May 29, the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health sent a document transferring the case file of 'advertising Nestlé MILO products' and handing over all related documents to the Dong Nai Provincial Police Investigation Agency to verify and handle the case according to the provisions of law.

On the evening of May 29, Nestlé Vietnam issued a press release addressing this issue. Accordingly, Nestlé Vietnam affirmed that it always complies with current legal regulations and respects the instructions of competent authorities regarding the interpretation of information on product packaging regarding Nestlé MILO Barley Milk supplement.

Nestlé Vietnam affirms that Nestlé MILO Barley Milk products comply with regulations related to food quality and safety, meeting all quality requirements and nutritional needs of Vietnamese consumers.

Regarding the advertising content on the packaging of Nestlé MILO Barley Milk, Nestlé Vietnam affirms that this is information in the research topic in Decision No. 1016/QD-VDD in 2022 of the Institute of Nutrition shown on the packaging, carried out according to the necessary procedures and processes, in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.

Nestlé Vietnam affirms that the company respects the instructions of the authorities on interpreting information on the packaging of the Nestlé MILO Barley Milk supplement food product.

Currently, Nestlé Vietnam is continuing to work with authorities to clarify this issue.
