On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Thu Dau Mot province, the liberation of the South, and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), towards the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), Binh Duong organized many exhibition activities at the Provincial Convention - Exhibition Center, typically 3 exhibition themes chaired by the Provincial Museum, including: "Vietnam - Aspiration for peace, national unification", "Binh Duong - from the land of fire to the aspiration to reach far" and "Uncle Ho - He is the belief in certain victory".
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the exhibitions hosted by the Provincial Museum have 212 images and 53 artifacts; introducing a collection of homemade weapons produced by the Ben Cat Engineering Workshop and memorabilia from the resistance war against the US.
In the common space, the exhibition organized by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association with the theme "50 years of Binh Duong literature and arts activities after the country's reunification" displayed more than 130 works of fine arts, photography and hundreds of publications. Sculptor Ngo Phuoc Chanh, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Literature and Arts Association, shared: "This is an opportunity to look back on the 50 years of literature and arts activities of the province. Each work of fine arts, photography, and each publication displayed carries the passion of generations of Binh Duong artists with the aspiration to preserve and promote national identity in the integration period".
Another highlight is the thematic exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh - Life and revolutionary career”, organized by the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Di An City, with more than 20 photo panels. The exhibition attracted more than 6,300 students and teachers. “Each photo, each page of documents in the exhibition carries a story. Through this activity, students not only learn history but also learn how to live, love, share and live more responsibly”, said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, a teacher at Di An C Primary School, when visiting the exhibition.
According to Ms. Truong Thi Huy, an expert from the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Di An City, this exhibition has many special values. The images and documents are carefully selected to be close to the young generation. The goal is for viewers, especially students, to not only watch, but also feel, understand and follow the moral values that Uncle Ho left behind.
Binh Duong through the perspective of photographer Huynh My Thuan As part of the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), at the Pottery Garden (Lai Thieu Ward, Thuan An City), the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association organized the photo exhibition "On the Memory" by photographer Huynh My Thuan. The exhibition includes 10 photo reports and 45 single photos about the land and people of the South, especially Lai Thieu, Binh Duong. Among them are many photos capturing beautiful moments of memories of the old Lai Thieu such as: Pottery River Wharf, Phu Long Iron Bridge... Through the exhibition, photographer Huynh My Thuan wants to express the author's love for Lai Thieu, the land he considers his second homeland, so that the public can admire, reminisce and love the cultural beauty of Binh Duong through a photographic perspective, thereby contributing to the development of local tourism. |
Adding more color to the series of cultural activities during the recent holidays, at the Traditional House of Thu Dau Mot City, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Thu Dau Mot City also organized a traditional cultural space - historical exhibition with the theme "Imprints of Thu Dau Mot land". The exhibition space introduces to the people and tourists documents, materials, and images summarizing the historical and cultural process of Vietnam through the periods; especially emphasizing the history of the people and the land of Thu Dau Mot.
The unique point of the exhibition is the introduction of traditional handicraft products such as ceramics, lacquerware, wood carvings, wooden clogs, and traditional cakes. “This activity not only promotes the image of a dynamic and modern Thu Dau Mot, but also shows that the city knows how to respect and preserve its own traditional cultural features. That is an important spiritual foundation in the journey of sustainable development,” said Ms. Trinh Ngoc Phuong, Deputy Director of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Thu Dau Mot City.
Not only a place to preserve historical memories, exhibition spaces in Binh Duong have become valuable cultural and educational destinations, where the past meets the present to inspire the future. In today's development journey, it is these historical slices and enduring cultural values that are the flame that preserves identity, fueling faith and aspiration for an integrated - steadfast - and courageous Binh Duong.
