In order to further accelerate the construction of new rural areas and improve people's lives, from the beginning of 2023, Gia Loc district issued a plan to build advanced new rural communes and model new rural areas in the district. Local authorities and Party committees have actively led and directed the work. One of the key solutions identified is to mobilize the strength of the entire political system and the people to join hands to carry out this task. With 8 out of 21 communes, Gia Loc is the district with the most communes reaching the advanced new rural finish line in the province in 2023.

Taking us to visit more than 1 km of district road DH01 passing through the newly expanded commune, Mr. Vu Viet Lich, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thong Nhat Commune (Gia Loc) said that to widen this road from 6 m to 9 m, 34 households voluntarily donated land and spent their own money to dismantle and build walls and gates. According to Mr. Lich, the consensus and joint efforts of the people played an important role in helping the commune reach the new rural area 2 years ahead of schedule. "During the process of striving to build a new rural area, the locality has received a lot of support from the people, including some cases of support up to 4-5 billion VND to build public works," Mr. Lich added.

In Gia Loc district, in 2023 alone, people donated 3,346 ^m2 of land and 1,419 working days to expand traffic routes. People also contributed over 7 billion VND to upgrade and expand traffic routes in villages and hamlets.

At the end of 2023, Ninh Giang district will implement the clearance of violations within the scope of irrigation works, mainly illegal bridges in 6 communes: Hung Long, Hong Phuc, Kien Quoc, Hong Phong, Hong Du, Dong Tam. The above policy affects the lives and business activities of hundreds of households and is forecasted to have many difficulties and complications in the implementation process. However, thanks to the consensus and high unity of the people, the violations that have existed for decades have been basically completely handled, in which many households have voluntarily organized the dismantling of illegal works. After 2 months of implementation, by the end of January 2024, 121 illegal bridges had been dismantled on the canals and 25 cases committed to dismantling them in February 2024 (reaching 94%).

In Nam Sach district, also thanks to the consensus and positive response of the people in implementing the resolution of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on waste classification and collection, this is the first locality in the province to have closed all old landfills.
