According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, due to heavy rain and floods on a series of rivers from Gia Lai, Dak Lak to Khanh Hoa on November 19-20, all exceeded alert level 3, many places exceeded historical levels. In particular, roads to Tuy Hoa Airport were isolated, Shelter station, LOC station 03 were flooded, and the power system was completely cut off.
Tuy Hoa Airport is urgently implementing measures to preserve and reinforce equipment at the airport to ensure the safety of flights, people and property, and minimize negative impacts on flight operations. Therefore, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam announces the temporary suspension of operations at Tuy Hoa Airport from noon on November 20 to midnight on November 20.

Faced with the situation of heavy rains in the Central region, the Ministry of Construction has requested forces to be on the highest response state, deploying remedial plans as soon as an incident occurs. Specifically, units must proactively direct the work of preventing, avoiding, responding to and quickly overcoming the consequences of floods, paying special attention to the risks of landslides, flash floods, and inundation; carry out with a spirit of urgency, determination, and readiness to respond to the worst-case scenarios, not being passive or surprised.
The Ministry also requested agencies and units based on their functions and authority to proactively coordinate and support localities in responding, ensuring the safety of people's lives, and minimizing damage caused by floods. Units need to focus on quickly overcoming the consequences, restoring traffic infrastructure, especially routes serving rescue and relief operations immediately after natural disasters.
Units are also required to regularly check locations at risk of flooding and traffic congestion to have quick drainage plans; arrange human resources, vehicles and equipment to be on standby to promptly drain water and prevent flooding at flooded areas in urban areas.
