Yaccarino has just made her first public comments since Musk announced that she would become Twitter's new CEO. She quoted Musk's tweet and wrote: "I have long been inspired by your vision for creating a brighter future. I am excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business."

For those who have just followed his account, the new Twitter CEO greeted them humorously by saying, “While not as prolific as Musk, I am committed to the future of the platform.”

In December 2022, Musk promised to find a new CEO after running a Twitter poll about whether he should step down. Yaccarino is a respected figure in the advertising industry, and her hiring could help Twitter generate more ad revenue.

Nicknamed the “Velvet Hammer” at NBCUniversal, where she worked before moving to Twitter, for her friendly nature but tough negotiating style, according to the Wall Street Journal, she will take charge of a company that has been through a lot of turmoil since Musk took over.

Yaccarino interviewed Musk at a marketing conference last month. She praised his work ethic and joked that she had “met her match.”
