On the afternoon of March 2, hundreds of fans "braved the rain" and showed up at the stadium where the qualifying round of the Central Coast region of the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 THACO Cup took place to "fuel" the teams.
This is a competition between 4 teams in group B, playing 2 matches in turn: University of Law - Hue University vs Duy Tan University, University of Science - Hue University vs University of Economics - Hue University.

Family travels over 200 km to "fuel" their son
Having just traveled more than 200 km from Dong Hoi City ( Quang Binh ) to Hue City, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Luong’s family (52 years old) including 5 members arrived at the stadium very early. They chose a good position to cheer for their son Hoang Hoai Nam, the goalkeeper wearing the number 1 shirt of the University of Law – Hue University team.
Hoang Hoai Nam traveled more than 200 km to "light the fire" for his son.
Mr. Luong shared that when he learned that his son was competing in the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament, his whole family was very proud and constantly encouraged him. Today, he, his wife and daughter's family woke up early to get to Hue City on time.
"I am also a football lover, when I see my son playing on the field I am very excited. I hope he will be calm and confident in playing. This is a very useful playground, I thank Thanh Nien Newspaper for organizing a meaningful tournament for the children to practice physical training and exchange and learn," said Mr. Luong.

After 80 minutes of competition, the team of Hue University of Law and Duy Tan University ended with a 0-0 draw. Although there was a bit of regret, goalkeeper Hoang Hoai Nam was extremely happy to see his whole family in the stands.

Hoai Nam was moved: "No matter what the result is, the whole team played very well. We will continue to try our best in the next matches, determined to win a ticket to the final round. Today, when I saw my parents in the stands cheering for me, I was very happy and joyful. That is a solid support for me to continue to compete well."

Entering the second match in group B is the competition between the University of Science - University of Economics (both belong to Hue University).
As soon as the ball rolled onto the field, the stands were packed with people. Among the crowd, Mr. Doan Dung (59 years old, former General Secretary of the Hue Professional University Sports Association) also chose an ideal position, with his little niece to watch the match.
Mr. Doan Dung took his niece to the stadium to cheer for the football teams.
Mr. Dung said that in recent years, the football movement of Hue students has been very strong, in tournaments, big or small, he is always present to cheer for the teams. Today, he brought his little niece to the field, as if to fuel her passion for sports.
"The atmosphere from the opening day until now has been very happy and exciting. Such football tournaments are very good for students, this is an opportunity for football teams from different schools to exchange, thereby improving their football skills and solidarity in studying. Today, my grandfather and I came to support both teams, this is also an interesting experience for him," said Mr. Dung.
Mr. Dung wants to continue to inspire his granddaughter's passion for sports and beautiful memories.
The team of Hue University of Science won the team of Hue University of Economics with a score of 4 - 1.
There were also many beautiful and lovely fans appearing at the stadium, contributing to creating a fresh atmosphere for the qualifying round of the Central Coast region of the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 THACO Cup.
Thousands of fans came to cheer for the teams, including many female fans.
The fans were excited by the performance of the players on the field.
