Sharing feelings with poet Le Minh Quoc

While he was a prolific writer and a judge for many prestigious competitions, poet Le Minh Quoc suddenly disappeared for a whole month. Everyone thought he was "closing the door" to write poetry and prepare for the Tet newspaper, but who would have thought he had to go to the hospital for surgery to remove a tumor from his body.

Upon hearing the news, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, and his colleagues at the newspaper visited and presented gifts to poet and close collaborator Le Minh Quoc at his home. Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Toan sincerely asked about and encouraged the poet and wished him to soon overcome the difficult period and return to his writing career.

Poet Le Minh Quoc said that his health is recovering after surgery and he was very touched to receive sympathy and sharing from the brothers and sisters at Thanh Nien Newspaper. At the same time, he also sent the newspaper his most beautiful and satisfying painting so that it could be auctioned at the newspaper's Tu Tam market to do charity work.

Sharing the difficult times and illness with poet Le Minh Quoc, Poet Lam Xuan Thi's Poetry Love Fund sent him a gift of 20 million VND. The Laborer Newspaper presented him with the Mai Vang award in gratitude and honor for the contributions of the author of Vietnamese Culture seen from the Vietnamese language to the country's literature and arts.

Poet Le Minh Quoc is currently the Chairman of the Poetry Council of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association. He was a soldier, doing international duty in Cambodia. After leaving the army, he went to university and graduated from the Faculty of Literature, Ho Chi Minh City University of Science; he is the author of more than 50 books in many genres: poetry, epics, memoirs, short stories, novels, research papers... which are very popular with readers.
