According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Construction, super typhoon No. 3 YAGI swept through Hanoi, causing more than 40,000 trees to fall and branches to break in the city. Of these, more than 24,800 trees fell, concentrated in the districts of Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Gia Lam, Dong Anh, and Nam Tu Liem.

After checking and classifying, fallen and broken trees are collected by the management unit and transported to temporary sites to await auction.

In Chu Van An Park (Thanh Tri District, Hanoi City), dozens of cubic meters of wood including roots, trunks and branches... were sawn into pieces and stacked into large piles.

A representative of Hanoi Green Parks Company Limited said that after storm No. 3, more than 12,000 trees managed by the Company were broken, fell, or had their branches damaged. Of these, about 6,000 trees in Hanoi that were broken and could not be replanted will be cut down and turned into firewood.

The collected wood was transported to the Company's two warehouses in Yen So Park and a temporary warehouse in Chu Van An Park. The remaining wood was gathered at warehouses of districts in the area.

The trees were cut into short sections and transferred to a temporary wood storage facility at Chu Van An Park to await auction according to regulations.

It is known that the trees transported to the gathering point are mainly trees that cannot survive the storm.

Many large, "huge" sized tree trunks have been cut into pieces.

Although the trees were cut into sections, observations showed that after more than a month of the storm, some sections of the tree were still sprouting and growing.

A few dozen meters from the place where broken and fallen trees are gathered, an empty lot is used to plant and nurture tree stumps that can still recover and survive.

Many plants have now begun to sprout and produce new leaves, showing signs of recovery and growth.

Every day, while exercising in Chu Van An Park, Mr. Le Van Manh (Thanh Tri District, Hanoi) said: "Looking at the pile of trees, I can see how terrible the storm Yagi has been in Hanoi. Hopefully, any trees that can be saved will grow well," said Mr. Manh.

A representative of Hanoi Green Tree Park Company Limited said that the unit is responsible for collecting and transporting trees that have fallen due to storms, planting, caring for, and preserving trees that can recover, while the auction is decided by the Hanoi Department of Construction and the Hanoi City Technical Infrastructure Management Center.
