Meaningful activities such as presenting the national flag, launching the Peace Tree image, giving postcards for people and tourists to write and spread the message of peace together... took place at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street.

Accordingly, many domestic and international tourists who were given the flag were very excited and eager to receive the Vietnamese national flag. This action contributed to making the streets of the city named after Uncle Ho more brilliant in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

In addition, according to information from the organizing committee, the special edition of VTV ON AIR publication with the theme “Ho Chi Minh City 50 years: Heritage flow and Aspiration for breakthrough,” will be sent free of charge to the people in the near future.

The publication introduces a series of articles by famous experts and researchers to tell the story of 50 years of creation, construction, pioneering and development of Ho Chi Minh City - a place where many resources converge, spreading opportunities to reach the region and the world.

The publication is also a tribute to the sacrifices of previous generations, while honoring historical and cultural values and promoting the beauty, potentials and opportunities of the City named after Uncle Ho.

In particular, the representative of the organizing committee said that the publication will be distributed free of charge to people and tourists at historical sites as well as some central areas of the city and will be taken by ship to officers and soldiers of Truong Sa archipelago.

Last weekend, "Peace Tree" was also launched at the City Book Street. Taking this opportunity, the beauty queens and people wrote wishes and heartfelt messages to hang up and put postage stamps on to send to friends and relatives around the world.

With three trunks symbolizing the three regions of North, Central and South converging, rising and blending into a large heart-shaped canopy, the "Peace Tree" is a symbol of love, solidarity, and unity with the same heartbeat of the Vietnamese people. Surrounding the base of the tree is a stream of flowers, symbolizing the flow connecting the glorious past with the present and the potential breakthrough future of the city.

According to the organizers, activities to spread the message of the heart with the Peace Tree will take place from now until May 1, 2025, at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street.
