The exhibition Images of Time Marks - the Quintessence of Vietnamese Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy contributes to recreating the history of formation, development and achievements of Vietnamese traditional medicine, while providing researchers, professionals and the public with useful information about Vietnamese traditional medicine.

This is not only an important event for the health sector in general but also an opportunity to look back, honor and protect the invaluable values of Vietnamese traditional medicine.

Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen emphasized this when speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the Traditional Room and the exhibition "Images of the Marks of Time - the Quintessence of Vietnamese Traditional Medicine" held on May 13 in Hanoi.

According to Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen, traditional medicine is not only a method of treatment but also a part of the national culture, the soul of Vietnamese medicine. For thousands of years, traditional medicine has been closely associated with people's lives, treating diseases, providing health care and making important contributions to improving the quality of life. However, traditional medicine is not a static system, but a system that is always developing, improving, and expanding over time.

Therefore, in the context of today's strong development of modern medicine, the combination of traditional medicine and modern medicine is the key to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and protecting people's health.

The exhibition is a clear demonstration of the intersection between tradition and modernity, between traditional methods and scientific research, helping the medical industry not only preserve but also promote the value of traditional medicine in the new era.

The exhibition is an opportunity to look back at the development of traditional medicine in our country, the important milestones, the treatment methods, the remedies that generations of doctors have painstakingly researched, created, applied and passed down to this day. The images, artifacts and documents in this exhibition are vivid evidence of the long-term, sustainable development of Vietnamese traditional medicine, from folk remedies to modern applied research projects.

"However, we also need to thoroughly recognize that traditional medicine must continue to be preserved and developed to meet the increasing health care needs of the community," Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen emphasized.

Also this afternoon, at the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine, a graduation ceremony was held for new masters, new resident doctors, new specialist II doctors, and new specialist I doctors of the Academy./.
