Nghe An suspends alkaline ionized water treatment facility

NDO - On May 28, information from the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district (Nghe An province) said that after the inspection, the district's interdisciplinary inspection team requested to stop the operation of the alkaline ionized water treatment facility at the private home of Mr. Bui Van Quang, block 9, Cau Giat town until it is licensed by the competent authority.

At the time of checking the alkaline ionized water treatment facility at Mr. Bui Van Quang's private home on the afternoon of May 26, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Quynh Luu district recorded 4 oxygen tanks, 2 water purifiers, 2 massage machines and 5 patients staying there, being treated by fasting and drinking alkaline ionized water.

Mr. Bui Van Quang could not present a license or practice certificate. The advertising sign was removed by him.

Presenting to the interdisciplinary inspection team of Quynh Luu district, Mr. Bui Van Quang affirmed that he did not examine or treat patients, did not inject, did not give medicine, and that the patients drank alkaline ionized water themselves and he did not force or force them.

Mr. Quang's Facebook account posted a lot of information about curing diseases by fasting, only needing to drink water, including terminal cancer, and being sent home from the hospital.

Although he claims not to treat diseases, Mr. Quang still receives patients every day and guides them through unscientific treatment methods. The people who come for treatment are mainly from other localities.

Mr. L.D.C. (born in 1962) in Dai Ngan commune, Con Cuong district ( Nghe An province) said that he had terminal liver cancer. He knew about the advertisement on Bui Quang's facebook page so he came here for treatment. During more than 10 days of treatment here, Mr. C only drank alkaline ionized water and did not eat or drink anything else.

Mr. TVC, a liver cancer patient from Tuyen Hoa district ( Quang Binh province) is currently on his 34th day of treatment at Mr. Quang's facility, receiving daily treatment by drinking alkaline ionized water and fasting. He pays the facility 200,000 VND per day for cleaning, electricity and water.

It is worth mentioning that each patient coming here for treatment must write a commitment with the content: "Come to Mr. Bui Van Quang's house, Cau Giat, Quynh Luu, Nghe An to practice body cleansing, fasting and drinking alkaline ionized water, to improve health. This is completely voluntary, not forced in any form."

Patients coming here for treatment must write a voluntary commitment.

Previously, public opinion in Nghe An was stirred up about the treatment of diseases by drinking ionized water at Mr. Bui Van Quang's house.

On May 16, the People's Committee of Cau Giat town established an inspection team related to the treatment activities by drinking ionized water at this man's house.

At the time of inspection, there were 4 patients staying here.

In a report sent to the Health Department and the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district, the People's Committee of Cau Giat town stated that due to lack of understanding, in the coming time, many people will come to Mr. Quang's house to learn about and use this treatment method, causing complications in the security and order situation in the town.

The People's Committee of Cau Giat town requested the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to establish an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect and handle the case of Mr. Bui Van Quang organizing medical treatment with alkaline ionized water.
