Recently, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Districts and Cities has approved, implemented and supported the first phase for 270 houses, reaching 106% of the demand approved by the Provincial People's Committee. In addition, localities have proactively mobilized social capital to build and repair 103 houses beyond the target approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
To date, 226 houses have been handed over for people to live in. Currently, for families with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs, the support fund for house construction is 120 million VND/house. Particularly, poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances are supported to build houses with 80 million VND/house.
In addition to the achieved results, there are still many shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses such as: uneven progress among localities; some legal problems regarding land, slow processing of documents and procedures; duplication of needs, households not being the right subjects...
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Dong Nai Province, requested all levels, sectors, People's Committees, and Steering Committees for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in districts and cities to focus on implementing 5 key tasks, including: speeding up the review, making an accurate list, mobilizing maximum social resources and ensuring the construction and repair of houses for the right subjects, according to standards and quality; speeding up the commencement and completion of 191 houses approved by the Provincial People's Committee in the second phase and cases that were still slow to implement in the first phase.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations strengthen supervision of the implementation process at the grassroots level; the statistics and synthesis of results of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses must be honest and clear, and localities must complete records and procedures for settlement in accordance with regulations, promptly and conveniently; propose to commend exemplary collectives and individuals, spreading the spirit of responsibility and humanity in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
The implementation of these tasks aims to ensure the completion of the entire program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province before June 30, 2025, contributing to building an increasingly civilized, modern, and affectionate homeland.
