On May 13, the Vietnam Fund for Children with Disabilities organized a special exchange called “Sounds from the Heart,” with the participation of musician Nguyen Van Chung - author of famous songs such as “Mother's Diary,” “Continue Writing the Story of Peace ,” etc.
At the meeting, musician Nguyen Van Chung officially became the first Music Ambassador of the Cactus Ambassador Club (Fund for Vietnamese Children with Disabilities), a network of positive inspirational faces accompanying the Fund.
The program was attended by children with hearing impairment, visual impairment, cerebral palsy, autism and their parents. The children performed many performances with clear voices, sign language and even their eyes - wordless "sounds" that touched the hearts of listeners. In particular, the children showed much love for musician Nguyen Van Chung.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung shared: “Becoming the Music Ambassador of the Fund for Vietnamese Children with Disabilities, I do not consider this an honor but a real responsibility. I hope music will be a bridge to erase the distance and help children feel all the good values in life.”
The musician also affirmed that he will accompany the Fund long-term in community art activities, composing and connecting with other artists to spread humanistic values to disadvantaged children.
Sharing at the program, Ms. Duong Thi Bich Diep - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Disabled Children in Vietnam said that the Cactus Ambassador Club of the Fund for Disabled Children in Vietnam was established as a network connecting inspirational faces, hearts that know how to listen and share.
“Just as cacti can bloom in harsh conditions, we believe that every “special” child has the potential to shine – if given the right support at the right time, by the right people. And ambassadors like musician Nguyen Van Chung are the ones who ‘sow the light’ on that journey,” Ms. Diep emphasized./.
