Accordingly, the Binh Dai fellow countrymen's association in Ho Chi Minh City organized free medical examinations and medicine for 600 people from policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the three communes of Loc Thuan, Dinh Trung, and Phu Long; and gave 200 gifts to households in especially difficult circumstances. In particular, the association mobilized the medical team and doctors of Thong Nhat Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City to provide general examinations for 400 people, and mobilized the medical team and doctors of Hung Vuong Hospital to provide specialized examinations for 200 women. The association also coordinated with the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology to organize dental examinations, apply preventive medicine, and make dental records for 634 students of Do Nghia Trong Secondary School, Loc Thuan commune, and mobilized the Ngo Family Physicians' Club of Vietnam to support 6,340 notebooks for the school. The association also mobilized support for 20 blood glucose meters for poor households in Loc Thuan commune, each worth 1.1 million VND. The total cost of the program is 655 million VND, supported by BLL from donors, philanthropists, and people from Binh Dai hometown.
The delegation also went to Binh Phu hamlet, Thanh Tri commune to organize the inauguration ceremony of 2 rural traffic bridges. Each bridge is 13m - 17m long, 2.2m wide, with a total construction cost of 130 million VND, of which Mr. Ngo Minh Chau's family (father of Prof. Dr. Ngo Minh Xuan) supported 100 million VND, the rest was contributed by the people.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 11 collectives and individuals who actively mobilized and supported materially to carry out social security work and build rural traffic in Binh Dai district.
* The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Dai district in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre city has just organized a ceremony to present 3 charity houses to poor and near-poor households facing housing difficulties in 3 coastal communes: Binh Thang, Thua Duc and Thoi Thuan, Binh Dai district.
The houses were given to Mr. Nguyen Van Sy's household, Hamlet 2, Binh Thang Commune; Mrs. Pham Thi Hiep's household, Thua Long Hamlet, Thua Duc Commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa's household, Thoi Loi Hamlet 2, Thoi Thuan Commune. The area of each house ranges from 32m2 - 50m2 , built according to the "3 hard" standards, with a total cost of 211 million VND; of which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre City supported 60 million VND/house, the rest was contributed by the families.
