Strengthening communication work in higher education institutions

Attending the conference were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training , experts, and communication officers from higher education institutions.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Quang Nam - Chief of Office of the Ministry of Education and Training emphasized: Communication is an indispensable part of the development strategy of each educational unit, especially in the context of digital transformation and deep international integration.

The Ministry of Education and Training identifies communication work as not only the task of communication officers but also the common responsibility of the entire sector, aiming to create social consensus, spread educational values and affirm the prestige of training institutions.

Hopefully, the conference will be a practical and effective forum for communication work, correctly assessing the results achieved, frankly pointing out the limitations that need to be overcome. At the same time, sharing good experiences, creative ways of doing things, creating motivation and connection between the officers in charge of communication work of the units and the Communications Department of the Ministry Office; especially the new members in the block of units under the Ministry.

The conference focused on in-depth discussions on communication work in the new context. Many topics were discussed and shared such as: "Skills in building, managing and developing Fanpages on social networks in the digital age" presented by expert Nguyen Anh Vu; "Handling communication crises and online codes of conduct" shared by Dr. Tran Dinh Ly - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry.

At the conference, delegates also discussed and exchanged experiences in digital content management, improving the effectiveness of internal communication and promoting the role of lecturers and students...

At the end of the conference, Mr. Tran Quang Nam suggested that training institutions should continue to review and foster the capacity of communication staff; at the same time, invest in facilities, funding, and apply digital technology to improve communication quality.
Building strong and effective fanpages; transparent and multi-dimensional communication of professional activities, science , technology, international cooperation... needs to be promoted and included in the annual action plan of each unit.
