The working group focused on inspecting and comprehensively evaluating compliance with legal regulations on food safety; conditions for ensuring food safety during food processing, product quality and safety, origin of input materials; legal documents, labels, production dates and expiry dates of materials, etc.

The inspection team also conducted rapid testing of some foods, especially processed products that use additives, to promptly detect unsafe substances or violations of regulations.

In addition to inspection work, the delegation also combined propaganda, knowledge guidance and dissemination of the latest regulations related to food safety for business owners, chefs and workers. Thereby, raising awareness and self-awareness of business establishments in protecting public health.

In parallel with the inspection work, the authorities combine propaganda, dissemination of knowledge and legal regulations on ensuring food hygiene and safety for businesses and restaurants.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, Captain of Food Safety Management Team No. 1 (City Food Safety Management Board), every year, the unit develops a periodic inspection plan as well as organizes peak periods, especially in the summer and during major events to ensure food safety at facilities serving domestic and international tourists .

During the inspection, for establishments that have not ensured food safety and hygiene regulations, the inspection team also reminded and requested strict compliance and commitment to comply with regulations.

“In addition to the involvement of authorities, the awareness of business people, the responsibility of producers and the cooperation of consumers play an important role. If violations are discovered, people should promptly report them to the authorities for handling, contributing to building a healthy and safe business environment,” Ms. Hong shared.
