The above project is one of 9 projects under the EU-Vietnam Women-led Green Transformation Partnership program funded by the European Union with a total budget of 890,579 Euros; of which the budget directly implemented by CSRD is 464,446 Euros, equivalent to 12,235 million VND, implemented for 4 years (2025-2028). The project aims to contribute to improving the resilience of vulnerable communities to the impacts of climate change (CC), first of all women; diversifying livelihood opportunities based on natural, ecosystem-friendly solutions for people; improving biodiversity and ecosystem quality, especially in wetland reserves and the Huong River basin.

Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Thi Dinh, Director of CSRD, said that Hue City is one of the localities that is clearly affected by climate change with increasing frequency and intensity. Women are a vulnerable group in this situation but they play a key role in natural resource management and local livelihoods. They possess the practical knowledge, skills and capacity needed to contribute to building community resilience against extreme natural disasters. Women understand local conditions, have aspirations to improve their quality of life and are willing to actively contribute to community activities...
With such favorable conditions, in this project, women are encouraged to participate in activities such as: Improving capacity to respond to climate change, developing livelihoods based on natural and adaptive solutions based on ecosystems, tree planting, afforestation, community communication and building sustainable livelihood models...
