At the meeting, Mr. Ryan Sim said that Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is one of the leading technology corporations in the field of semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). Currently, AMD's market capitalization is about 200 billion USD, with a portfolio of strategic products including: EPYC processors, Instinct GPU accelerators and specialized platforms for AI - HPC - Cloud - Edge Computing.
With more than 50 years of innovation, AMD's semiconductor and AI technologies are the foundational infrastructure for supercomputers, generative AI, defense, smart government , and global data centers.
Mr. Ryan Sim expressed his impression of the development of Binh Duong province. He wished to cooperate with Binh Duong province in areas of strength and suitable for the development orientation of both sides such as high-tech industry, scientific and technological research and development.
Speaking with the delegation, Mr. Bui Minh Tri Pho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that with an open and attractive investment environment, in recent years Binh Duong has always been one of the leading provinces and cities in the country in attracting foreign direct investment.
In the industrial development orientation, the province prioritizes attracting investment in high-tech industries, semiconductor industry, green energy, green economy, circular economy; high-tech, advanced, environmentally friendly, less labor-intensive, high added value-creating fields, especially attracting investment in the province's Science and Technology Industrial Park.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Tri welcomed and hoped that the two sides would soon promote and expand cooperation in the fields of high technology, semiconductor industry, and training of high-quality human resources to meet the development and integration requirements of the province.
